My First Burda

I decided to take the plunge and purchase my first Burda Magazine. This was a little birthday present to myself. My birthday was at the end of April. I was very excited to try Burda but now I'm a little intimidated by the tracing and instructions. The pattern pieces look like a crazy map. There are lines and colors everywhere. There are several things though that I like from this May issue.
I like this basic top with short sleeves.

This skirt is cute. They also show it with a bow.

This looks like a easy summer dress.

This would be a good spring/summer church dress.

Right now I have little time to sew because my son's birthday is this upcoming weekend and he is having his first "real" party.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the mothers, grandmothers, aunties, and godmothers. Enjoy your special day!

I have a Burda from last fall and haven't gotten up the nerve to sort out all the tracing and stuff, too. Cute items you picked out. Happy Mother's Day to you!

I just started getting Burda and it looks a lot more intimidating than it really is. Once you have your tracing paper over the lines, you start to only see your color that you need to trace. Great picks for your first project.
